Our Story

Founded on a Simple Premise

Drumlin was formed in Kuala Lumpur by a small group of operations and management consultants who had spent years working with businesses across Malaysia and the wider region. In that time, a pattern became clear: most firms had no straightforward plan for keeping their core work running during a disruption — not because they were careless, but because the available approaches were either too complex, too expensive, or designed for organisations far larger than themselves.

The name Drumlin — a landform shaped by glacial pressure into a steady, rounded ridge — reflects what we aim to help businesses become: resilient in shape, not brittle under pressure. We do not believe continuity planning needs to be an elaborate exercise. It needs to be honest, proportionate, and usable.

Our team has worked with small trading firms in Penang, professional services offices in Petaling Jaya, and mid-size manufacturers across Selangor. Each engagement starts with listening — understanding how a business actually works before suggesting anything.

Our Mission

Practical Preparation, Clear Outputs

Our mission is straightforward: help Malaysian businesses prepare for the kinds of disruptions that actually happen — not theoretical worst-case scenarios but the day-to-day situations that can stall operations unexpectedly.

Focus on what matters. We map the activities that are truly critical to your business before anything else.
Outputs your team can use. Every document we produce is written to be picked up and followed, not filed and forgotten.
Proportionate scope. We size each engagement to fit where you actually are — not to an industry template built for large enterprises.

How We Work

Our Professional Standards

Contextual Assessment

Every engagement begins with understanding how your business actually operates — not applying a standard template before listening.

Confidentiality Commitment

All information shared during engagements is handled with discretion. We are willing to formalise confidentiality arrangements in writing before work begins.

Scope Clarity

We agree the scope and expected outputs before work begins, so clients know what they will receive and when, without ambiguity.

Plain-Language Outputs

Documents are written for people who will use them under pressure — not for consultants reviewing them. Jargon has no place in a response plan.

Review & Refinement

Drafts are reviewed with the client before finalisation. We build in time for your team to test and question what we have produced.

ISO 22301 Alignment

Our methodology draws from internationally recognised business continuity management principles, adapted for the scale and context of Malaysian businesses.

Business Continuity Consulting in Malaysia

Drumlin works with businesses across Kuala Lumpur, the Klang Valley, and beyond on operational continuity — the discipline of keeping core activities running when something disrupts the normal flow of work. That could be an IT outage, a sudden staff absence, a supply chain delay, a building issue, or any of the situations that businesses encounter but rarely plan for in advance.

For many Malaysian firms, particularly those in professional services, trading, or manufacturing, the question of continuity sits in a gap: leadership knows it matters, but the available resources — consultancy programmes, management frameworks, certification processes — are sized for large multinationals. Drumlin was formed to address that gap with engagements that are proportionate in scope, clear in output, and sensible in their demands on a client's time.

Our three continuity services — the Readiness Snapshot, the Planning Programme, and the Operational Resilience Advisory — are designed as a progression. A firm can begin with the Snapshot to understand where it stands, move to the Planning Programme to formalise its approach, and engage the Advisory service when it is ready to extend continuity practices across several business areas over a sustained period.

We are based at Menara Zurich in Jalan Dato Maharajalela, Kuala Lumpur, and serve clients across the city and across Malaysia.
